Will you be our new full time Partnerships intern?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Partnerships intern. With a broad interest in business development, relationship management and doing international market research. Available for 6 months. Are you as passionate about light art as we are and you would like to work at an internationally operating organisation? Then we are looking for you!

Who are we?

Founded in 2017, Light Art Collection was once started by the Amsterdam Light Festival, which has been developing light festivals since 2012. In these years we have built up the largest collection of light art in the world, by commissioning artists to create works for the festival and adding other pieces to our collection.

We travel around the world to actively engage with our partners such as city marketers, property managers, museums, parks, and festivals, to explore exhibition opportunities for our light artworks to give them a new, international stage.

With the universal language of light art, we connect, move, and enlighten people all over the world. In our stories, we establish unexpected relationships that change the way both residents and visitors view their surroundings, thus creating a positive impact for the environment. We share our expertise on organising an exhibition that 'blows your mind', we advise on the routes to optimise the visitor experience, and we develop side programmes for young and old.

We provide the best technical assistance so that the artworks can be shown at their best. We never want to store artworks in dark storage spaces. We want to illuminate the world. Where do we do that? Our works have been exhibited in Athens, Brussels, Hong Kong, London, New York, Riyadh and Adelaide, among other places.

Who are you?

You are curious, driven to get a feeling with a 'market' to find promising openings for new business. You do research so that you can substantiate why you are taking which steps. You bring an open attitude, and do not hesitate to try new things.

  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing

  • You are energetic and a real team player. And above all, you are just like us... once enchanted by light art.

What will you be doing?

You are part of the Partnerships department. You will mainly focus on international business development: gaining insights into the international market, carrying out market research among existing partners, and possibly new partners (prospecting) and sectors. In addition, you will support in maintaining the CRM system, drawing up proposals and quotations, acquisition, etc. A versatile role in which you will work closely with the International Partnership Manager.
