Founded by Amsterdam Light Festival in 2017, we share a love for light art and a mission to connect, move and enlighten people through the universal language of light art experiences. Therefore, we have developed a circular strategic model together, to exhibit, promote and continuously invest in the future of light art.
The Amsterdam Light Festival Foundation has organized the world-renowned light art festival in the city of Amsterdam since 2012. Every year, the festival enriches the field of light art, by issuing an open call for new talent and commissioning established artists from all over the world. During the festival the artworks illuminate Amsterdam, its residents and visitors. After the festival period, a selection of the most beautiful light artworks is included in our ever-growing collection. We preserve, document, and internationally exhibit them all over the world.
