In this work, a floating four-poster bed appears like an apparition on the water. The bed is equipped with bed sheets, cushions, light curtains and tassels, and a chandelier is hung in the middle.
Inspired by fairy tales, the colors are soft and delicate, and the fabrics used are light and blow in the wind. With the city as decor, the water is omnipresent and the bed architecture recall a prosperous past. As an actor as well as a stage, the installation interacts with its surrounding, the wind, the water reflection, and creates a new scene in the scene.
Olinet explains the title as follows: "The title plays with the double meaning of Encore in France, which means Again and Yet. So the title can be understood as Not Yet My Story, or Not Again My Story. The Histoire is more about a general story, one that everyone can relate to, and the artwork floats in this moment when we don’t know if it’s before the story happens, or after. I like this uncertainty when everyone can extrapolate and create new scenarios…"
