Heart/Earth

The artwork Heart/Earth, created by artists Tom Biddulph and Barbara Ryan, evokes a sense of nostalgia through its design, which is somewhat reminiscent of old neon signs. The artists aim to provoke reflection on the viewer's personal relationship with our planet. By juxtaposing the words "Heart" and "Earth," they emphasize the deep connection between humanity and the environment, urging viewers to consider how their actions impact the world around them.

Through this piece, Biddulph and Ryan call on each of us to treat the earth with the same care and compassion that we would extend to something or someone close to our hearts, reminding us of the urgent need to preserve and protect our natural world for future generations.
