Firefly Field is a mesmerising light installation of numerous flying light points that simulate the movements these nocturnal lampyridae. Glowing. Darting. Hovering above the ground.


This mesmerising artwork is inspired by fireflies that glow in the dark through bioluminescence. With over hundreds of flying light points, Studio Toer creates an environment that simulates the movements of nocturnal fireflies. What appears to be a minimalist setup are actually LED light points housed in transparent capsules. This barely visible construction of metal rods and small motors creates a surface of unpredictable lights that naturally move around you.
